Why This Matters

Across the country, reproductive freedom is under attack.

After the repeal of Roe w Wade, 14 states have total abortion bans and 27 states have severe restrictions on abortion and reproductive healthcare. We are clear that Trump and his running mate support a nationwide abortion ban, regardless of what they say now. With the uncertainty of the national election and the oppressive policies of Project 2025 looming, very real threats are upon us. San Francisco must be prepared for whatever is to come.

San Francisco has a proud history of supporting reproductive freedom and leading on innovative local policy. This ballot measure ensures resilience for our city to remain the national leader in reproductive freedom and protect all seeking comprehensive reproductive health care.
